Do not start a new property site on Estate. It is no longer in
Themeum‘s range, which now runs to five education themes plus Kirki, Tutor LMS and its crowdfunding plugin, and both of the plugins Estate bundled are on their way out. If you want the feature set it offered,
a maintained directory or listings theme is the safer route.
Estate was a complete WordPress real estate theme for agencies, developers and rental businesses: clean, modern, and unusually strong on the things a property site actually needs. Here is what it did, and what to check before you inherit a site running it.

The four home layouts were the theme’s best idea.
Default gave a universal property layout,
Map put listings on an interactive map,
City organised them by location, and
Full Width used the whole screen for the listings grid. Between them they covered most of what an agency, a developer or a rental business needs from a front page, and the agent profiles were presented properly rather than as an afterthought.

Estate also shipped with
WP Page Builder Pro, a drag-and-drop builder that edited pages live on the front end and let you save designs to a library for reuse, with 30-plus add-ons for custom layouts. That is where the problem now sits.
Should you build on Estate?
No, and the reason is the plumbing rather than the design. Themeum announced it is sunsetting WP Page Builder, WP Mega Menu and Qubely to concentrate on Tutor LMS, its Droip no-code builder, WP Crowdfunding and Kirki. WP Page Builder gets one year of updates from that announcement and WP Mega Menu gets two. Estate bundled both of them, and its page content was built with WP Page Builder, so a site built on Estate today is a site whose page-building layer has a published end date.
Themeum’s current theme range is Skillate, Edumax, Docent, Language School and Patrios, all aimed at courses and training. There is no property theme in it.
If you already run a site on Estate, nothing breaks tomorrow. Take a backup, note which pages were built in WP Page Builder rather than the block editor, and plan the move while the plugin is still receiving updates. Rebuilding a handful of landing pages in a maintained builder is a much smaller job than an emergency migration later.

If you are starting from scratch, pick a theme whose listings, search and agent features are still being developed. The property-specific parts of Estate were genuinely good, and they are worth using as a specification when you compare replacements: map search with details on the markers, front-end submission for agents, and sorting by the fields buyers filter on rather than only by price.
