WordPress Halloween Deals: What Actually Goes on Sale
Some links on this page are affiliate links. If you buy through one, WPNeon earns a commission at no extra cost to you. It does not change what we recommend — see how we review.
Halloween is a thin sale window in WordPress. A handful of shops run one, the reductions are usually smaller than the same shops offer four weeks later, and several of the headline “discounts” are standing prices with a pumpkin on top. If you can wait until late November, wait. If you cannot, the table below is what these products cost right now, so you can tell a real reduction from a rebadged one.
Prices checked September 2026.
What these products cost right now
| Product | Current price | Renewal |
| Astra Pro, addon only | $69 a year, or $249 once | Lifetime option avoids renewals |
| Astra Pro with AI | $99 a year, or $279 once | Renews at $149 a year |
| Essential Toolkit with AI | $199 a year, or $549 once | Renews at $299 a year |
| Convert Pro | $89 a year, or $349 once | All renewals at full price |
| MyThemeShop paid themes | $39 each, list price $49 | One year of updates included |
| MyThemeShop Extended Membership | $199 a year, list price $420 | Annual |
| MonsterONE subscription | $169 a year, or $499 once | Annual, or lifetime |
| MalCare Protect | $99 a year for one site | Annual |
| Entry shared hosting | $3.99 a month on a 36-month term | Renews at $9.99 a month |
Every figure above was read from the vendor’s own pricing page. Use them as your baseline: if a Halloween banner does not beat these numbers, it is not an offer.
WordPress themes
Astra
Astra is the safest theme purchase on this list. It is fast, it has an enormous install base, and it is the one product here where the paid upgrade is a genuine step up rather than a bundle of extras.
Astra Pro on its own is $69 a year, or $249 as a single payment against a $349 list price. The version bundled with AI features is $99 a year and renews at $149, which is the sort of detail worth knowing before you click.
If you build sites for other people, the Essential Toolkit tier at $199 a year is where the wider plugin set lives. It renews at $299.

MyThemeShop
MyThemeShop sells a focused catalogue: eight themes, five of them paid at $39 each, plus seven premium plugins. The Extended Membership covers the lot for $199 a year against a $420 list price, which is cheaper than buying the paid products separately.
The important caveat is size. This is a smaller shop than it once was, so weigh the price against how long you need the theme supported. Our MyThemeShop membership review does that arithmetic in full, and our SociallyViral review covers its best-known theme.

TemplateMonster
TemplateMonster sells individual templates and a subscription. Individual WordPress themes sit around $59 to $61 for a single-site licence and $86 to $88 for up to five sites.
The subscription, MonsterONE, is $169 a year against a $229 list price, or $499 once against $799. It beats buying outright from about three products onwards. Our TemplateMonster review works through whether the subscription is worth it.

WordPress plugins
Convert Pro
A lead-generation and popup builder, and the clearest example on this page of why the renewal price matters more than the sale price. It is $89 a year against a $99 list price, or $349 once against $399, and the pricing page states plainly that all renewals are at full price.
So the annual plan is $89 now and $99 every year afterwards. The one-off licence is $349 and never renews. Anyone keeping the plugin longer than about four years is better off paying once.

MalCare
Security and malware scanning. There is a free tier, and the paid Protect plan is $99 a year for a single site or $299 for five. Higher tiers add clean-up and hardening work.
Security is one of the few categories where a subscription genuinely makes sense, because the value is in the ongoing scanning rather than the software.
Web hosting
Hosting is the category where seasonal banners are least meaningful, because the entry price is already a deep introductory rate tied to a long commitment.
The cheapest shared plan at Bluehost is $3.99 a month on a 36-month term and renews at $9.99 a month. The mid plan is $6.99 a month renewing at $13.99. A Halloween banner that takes a few cents off the introductory rate has not changed the cost of owning that site.
Judge a host on the renewal figure and on what happens when something breaks. Our best WordPress hosting comparison and our guide to choosing hosting for a blog both work from renewal pricing rather than headline rates.
Which shops discount predictably
Three patterns are worth knowing.
Some shops run a permanent sale. MyThemeShop lists nearly every paid product below its stated list price all year. So does MonsterONE. A seasonal banner on top of a permanent reduction is marketing, not a saving.
Some shops discount the first year and not the renewal. Astra and Convert Pro both do this, and both say so on their pricing pages. The introductory year is a real reduction. The years after it are not.
Hosting discounts the term, not the product. The advertised monthly figure is a long prepayment, and the renewal is typically two to three times higher.
The two things that actually save money
Neither of them is a coupon code.
The billing period. Compare a one-off licence against a yearly subscription before you compare percentages. Astra Pro is $69 a year or $249 once. Convert Pro is $89 a year or $349 once. In both cases the choice of billing period moves far more money than any seasonal reduction.
The renewal price. This is the number you will pay for most of the time you own the site, and it is the one the marketing does not lead with. Find it before you enter a card.
When the real WordPress discounts happen
Late November. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the only points in the WordPress calendar when a broad set of shops move prices at the same time, and the reductions are usually the deepest of the year.
If your purchase can wait from late October to late November, it should. Our WordPress Black Friday and Cyber Monday round-up tracks which shops discount every year, which only appear to, and what each product costs going into the sale.
If it cannot wait, buy at the prices in the table above and check the renewal line first.
