MyThemeShop Membership Review: Price and Value
Some links on this page are affiliate links. If you buy through one, WPNeon earns a commission at no extra cost to you. It does not change what we recommend — see how we review.
MyThemeShop’s Extended Membership costs $199 a year, against a $420 list price. Buy it if you want three or more of the shop’s paid products, because the seven premium plugins alone come to $227 bought separately. Buy the single product instead if you only want one theme, since paid themes are $39 each.
Prices checked September 2026.
What the membership costs
| Option | Price |
| Extended Membership, billed annually | $199 per year (list price $420) |
| Single product | $19 to $39 per year, depending on the product |
Both figures come from the shop’s own pricing page. The membership covers every paid theme and every paid plugin in the catalogue, with a year of updates and support.
Does the arithmetic work?
This is the only question that matters, so here it is with the shop’s current prices.
The seven paid plugins are listed at $67 for WP Review Pro, $57 for WP Quiz Pro, $27 for WP Shortcode Pro, and $19 each for URL Shortener Pro, WP Notification Bar Pro, WP Subscribe Pro and WP Mega Menu. That is $227 to buy the plugins alone.
On the theme side, Crypto, Coupon, Ad-Sense and SociallyViral each carry a $39 sale price against a $49 list price. Four of those comes to $156, which puts you at $383 before you have bought Schema.
So the $199 membership is genuinely cheaper than buying the catalogue piecemeal. It stops being good value the moment you only want one or two products.
How big is the catalogue really?
Smaller than it once was, and you should know that before you buy.
The shop currently lists eight themes, five of them paid and three free, plus fourteen plugins of which seven are paid. That is a focused catalogue rather than a sprawling one, and it is a fair distance from the hundreds of products the shop carried at its peak.
Whether that is a problem depends on what you want. A smaller catalogue can mean better-maintained products. It can also mean a shop that has stopped growing. Our Schema theme review is candid about which of those applies here.
What the membership includes
- Every paid theme and paid plugin in the shop
- Any new products released while your membership is active
- The right to use products on client sites
- Lifetime use of anything you download, including after you cancel
- PSD files for design work
- Priority support and bug fixing
- A 30-day money-back guarantee
The lifetime-use clause is the quietly valuable one. Cancel after a year and the sites you have already built keep working. You lose updates and support, not the software.
The products worth having
Schema
The shop’s flagship: a fast, SEO-focused theme aimed at bloggers, affiliate sites and small shops, with a built-in review system, ad management and rich snippet support. Schema on MyThemeShop.
SociallyViral
Built for blogs that live on social traffic, with floating share icons, a trending-posts block and ad slots in the places that earn. We cover it in full in our SociallyViral theme review, and you can buy it on its own for $39.
Coupon
A theme for deal and voucher sites, with the listing and expiry handling that job needs. See our Coupon theme review.
WP Review Pro
The most expensive plugin in the shop at $67, and the one that carries the most weight in the membership maths. Stars, percentages, circles or points for scores, multiple rating systems, user ratings and rich snippet output.
WP Quiz Pro
Quizzes for engagement and list building, at $57 on its own. Our WP Quiz Pro review goes through the quiz types.
Discounts, coupons and renewals
The $199 figure is the shop’s standing price rather than a countdown, so a coupon on top of it is unlikely.
Two things save real money on WordPress products, and neither is a code. The first is the billing period: compare a one-off licence against a yearly subscription, because that gap is normally larger than any percentage off. The second is the renewal price rather than the first-year price. A membership that renews at list price is a very different purchase from one that renews at what you paid.
Late November is when prices across the WordPress market actually move. Our WordPress Black Friday and Cyber Monday round-up tracks the shops that discount every year.
The verdict
At $199 a year the membership is fair value for an agency or a site builder who will use several of these products, and poor value for someone who wants one theme. Work out which products you would genuinely install, price them individually, and buy whichever is cheaper. On this catalogue the crossover comes at about three products.
