1.) Install and activate the EditorsKit WorPress plugin. This will add to Gutenberg the option to add links with “rel” nofollow along with other nifty page building block options. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New and type “EditorsKit” in the search field.

Once the plugin is activated, it will add a toggle in the link settings dropdown for including rel=”nofollow” in links as you create them.

2.) When you are on the post or page editor, highlight the text you want to add a nofollow link in Gutenberg. Click on the Add Link icon in the block editor and paste the URL of the page you want to link to in the box.

3.) Then, click on the Link Settings dropdown. You’ll see that two more link format options have been added. In addition to Open in New Tab, you now have the No Follow and Sponsored rel attribute options. Simply click the No Follow option and your link will become nofollow.
