Ask what happens at a resource limit: scaling, extra charges, throttling and a requested upgrade have different operational consequences.
Confirm support and migration scope
- List the plugins and custom integrations your business depends on.
- Ask which application issues support will investigate.
- Confirm who handles DNS, email, SSL and the final migration.
- For a store, agree on an order-sync and cutover window.
- Restore a backup to staging and test search, forms, login and checkout.
Which should you choose?
Choose a managed WordPress service when its workflows meet your needs and you want an application-focused environment. Choose an infrastructure product when you need more control and have the skills or support to operate it. Company size alone is a poor selection rule.
