The verdict: Effective IT Solutions is still on sale at TemplateMonster for $51, and it still looks tidy, but it was last updated on 4 February 2016 and its own listing claims compatibility only up to WordPress 5.7.x. Do not build a new business site on it. If you want a professional corporate site that will still be supported next year, start with Astra.

The one case for buying Effective IT Solutions anyway: you want this exact layout, you are comfortable maintaining a Cherry Framework 4 theme yourself, and $51 for a finished design is cheaper than paying a designer. Everyone else should read the next section and then move on.

Why the age matters here

This theme is built on Cherry Framework 4 and ships the MotoPress Editor and MotoPress Slider rather than Elementor, Gutenberg blocks or the block editor’s own layout tools. That was a normal choice in 2016. Today it means your page building happens inside a framework that stopped moving a decade ago, on top of a theme whose author, RockThemes, has not published an update since.

In practice, three things bite. Plugin conflicts appear as WordPress and PHP move on, and nobody is issuing a patch. The bundled slider and editor are separate legacy products with their own compatibility ceilings. And a theme that predates the block editor gives you no route into modern WordPress layout without replacing it.

None of that stops the theme working today. It does mean the clock is running, and you will be the one who has to migrate.

What the theme actually gives you

Effective IT Solutions has a clean, minimalist design built for IT companies and consultancies, with generous white space, a prominent branding area in the header, and a full-screen slider on the front page for your key selling points. Testimonials and a location map can both sit on the homepage.

Portfolio and galleries

The portfolio module is the strongest part of the theme. It offers four layouts, so you can present the same case studies several ways:

Work can be sorted into filterable categories, and portfolio and gallery items support image zoom.

Ready-made pages

Templates cover the pages a services business needs: home, about us, contact, team, clients, testimonials, portfolio and FAQs. Add copy, adjust the colours, and you have a site.

Contact form

A contact form is built in rather than supplied by a plugin. Treat that as a drawback, not a feature. A form that ships with a theme last updated in 2016 has not had a decade of spam-protection and validation work done to it. If you buy the theme, replace the form with a maintained plugin.

The rest

Slider and carousel layouts, a simple blog, social media icons, Google Fonts, a responsive layout with high-density display support, documentation, and PSD design files. Multilingual and SEO-friendly structure were both advertised; confirm WPML behaviour on the current listing if that matters to you.
